December 3 ~ He is the Son of God, One with God

Ephesians 4:4-6

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Philippians 2:2-5

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 10:30

Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.”

I Timothy 2:5-6a

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and man, the man Jesus Christ who gave Himself as a ransom for all...”

Hebrews 1:3

His Son...is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.

My Child,
I am the Son of God. All the majesty and power that exists in God My Father also dwells in Me. I came to earth to be the bearer of His invisible image (Colossians 1:15). Look to Me, my character, as I walked My life out on earth, and you will see God. Learn from Me, and you will find peace.

DECEMBER 16 ~ He Came to Give Forgiveness

John 1:8-9

If we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Colossians 1:13-14

For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.”

Micah 7:19

He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our sins underfoot. Yes, You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

My Child,
I came to give forgiveness. The bad news is: you and all mankind have sinned against the one true and only Holy God. The good news is: I took care of your sins at the cross so that you could enter into this holiness. I took the wrath that your sins deserve so that you can stand unblemished. Your punishment was poured onto Me so that God’s love could be poured into you. Never, never doubt my forgiveness—I did not die in vain.

DECEMBER 8 ~ He is the Living Water

Psalm 42:1-2

As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for Thee, O God,
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Isaiah 41:17-18

The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst; I, the Lord, will answer them Myself, as God of Israel I will not forsake them. I will open rivers on bare heights, and springs in the midst of valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land a fountain of water.

John 4:14

Jesus said, “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.”

Revelation 22:17

And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

Psalm 23:5-6

...my cup overflows...

My Child,
I am the Living Water. As I pour Myself into you, you will be con- tinually cleansed and purified. I long to revive, refresh, and renew your strength by washing you with My Word. Do you thirst for Me? Then go to the fountain that never runs dry.

DECEMBER 25 ~ On this day Celebrate who this Jesus is and what He came to give

Isaiah 9:6

For a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:21-23

And she will bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus... for it is He who will save His people from their sins. Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled saying, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means “God with us”.

My Child,

Accept Me.

Accept My gifts. Jesus

DECEMBER 5 ~ He is the Good Shepherd

Matthew 2:6

And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the lead- ers of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler, who will shepherd My people Israel.

Isaiah 40:11

Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs, And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.

Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul;
He guides me in paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

John 10:11, 14

I am the Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep...I know My own, and My own know Me.

My Child,
I am your Good Shepherd. I know you, and I want to carry you, quiet you, guide you, and restore your soul. Let My rod and staff comfort you as you walk out your days. I am here morning, noon, and night.

DECEMBER 24 ~ He Came to Give Hope

Romans 5:3-5

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribula- tion brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Colossians 1:27

God willed to make known...this mystery...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I Timothy 4:10

For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

Lamentations 3:21-25

This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.

Romans 5:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

My Child,
I came to give you hope. When I am living and reigning in you, you can face today, tomorrow, and forever. Let me walk with you today so that I can fill your heart with song. Also, remember this is not your home. Live with the great anticipation that you will someday enter heaven... a place that possesses “an eternal weight of glory far beyond all com- parison” (II Corinthians 4:17). Live on earth, with the hope of heaven in your heart.

Daily Prayer

How near is God?

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is i who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you." Isaiah 41:13

Dear Lord,

Remind us that you are near. You want to help us in our daily life decisions and our current struggles. May we believe this truth and walk dependently with you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
