DECEMBER 5 ~ He is the Good Shepherd

By Chris Baxter

Matthew 2:6

And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the lead- ers of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler, who will shepherd My people Israel.

Isaiah 40:11

Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs, And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.

Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul;
He guides me in paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

John 10:11, 14

I am the Good Shepherd; the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep...I know My own, and My own know Me.

My Child,
I am your Good Shepherd. I know you, and I want to carry you, quiet you, guide you, and restore your soul. Let My rod and staff comfort you as you walk out your days. I am here morning, noon, and night.

Making my boast in...

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear it and rejoice. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:1-3

Dear Lord,

May our hearts be filled with God-thoughts, ones that lift you on high; for the more we exalt you, the less we exalt ourselves. We bless you and we praise you, our King of kings, Lord of lords, Mighty God, Prince of Peace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
