Respite For the Weary
Isaiah 9:6
For a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Matthew 1:21-23
And she will bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus... for it is He who will save His people from their sins. Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled saying, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means “God with us”.
My Child,
Accept Me.
Accept My gifts. Jesus
But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. Psalm 5:11
Dear Lord,
As we take refuge in you, we ask you to spread your protection over us. Cause our hearts to be full of joy in the midst of your powerful and peaceful presence. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
