Respite For the Weary
Isaiah 9:6
For a child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Matthew 1:21-23
And she will bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus... for it is He who will save His people from their sins. Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled saying, “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means “God with us”.

As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly. Philippians 1:13-14
Dear Lord God,
Please help us to beautifully bear your name in the midst of trials. Increase our faith today. Strengthen us when we feel faint. Help us to persevere, clinging to the truth that we are making an impactful difference in other people's lives by holding on to our living hope. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
