Most High God,
The lure of being "the best" is so prevalent and deceiving in our culture in academics, in athletics, in appearance, in position… on and on. Please help my children not to worship any of these things as gods; instead, create in them the desire to USE THEIR GIFTS and abilities to worship You ALONE, no matter the place or position You have CHOSEN for them.
You who seek God, let your heart revive. Psalm 69:32
Dear Lord,
In our weakness, give us your strength. In our sorrow, give us your joy. In our crisis, give us your peace. In our doubt, give us your truth. In our fear, give us your courage. Yes, Lord, as we seek you in these places, come revive us once again. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
