Most High God,
The lure of being "the best" is so prevalent and deceiving in our culture in academics, in athletics, in appearance, in position… on and on. Please help my children not to worship any of these things as gods; instead, create in them the desire to USE THEIR GIFTS and abilities to worship You ALONE, no matter the place or position You have CHOSEN for them.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own. 1 Corinthians 6:19
Dear Lord,
Just as we live and move and breathe inside the four walls of our physical home, you live and move and breathe inside of each one of our faith-filled hearts. Help us to treat you as the royal guest of honor that your are. It's a high and awesome privilege to house you! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
