Most High God,
The lure of being "the best" is so prevalent and deceiving in our culture in academics, in athletics, in appearance, in position… on and on. Please help my children not to worship any of these things as gods; instead, create in them the desire to USE THEIR GIFTS and abilities to worship You ALONE, no matter the place or position You have CHOSEN for them.
For you save a humble people but the haughty eyes you bring down. Psalm 18:27
Dear Lord,
When we think we know it all, please be quick to remind us that we don't. Discipline us with your loving hand and humble us right back into your welcoming arms. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
