Respite For the Weary
The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, because He trusts in Thee. Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.
Isaiah 26: 3-4
Dear God of Peace,
Please help my children to keep their mind steadfastly focused on YOU. Fill them with your perfect peace as they trust in You alone - become the everlasting rock to their souls.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:9-10
Dear Lord,
Draw us near to you in awe, which is the appropriate "fear" to have of you. Cause us to both marvel at your works and also trust that every word of yours is true. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
