Respite For the Weary
Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him."

Dear Lord and Savior,
I pray my children will understand that genuine LOVE for You requires whole-hearted obedience TO YOU. As they walk in obedience, open their eyes to YOUR LOVE FOR THEM - in Your word and in Your ways. Thank You that You desire to live in their hearts. I pray that You will actively shine through them as they die to self, and live for You.
But (Jesus) answered, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4
Dear Lord God,
When we get hungry physically, we choose to eat. Please help us to do the same for our soul. Help us to stay away from the "junk food" our culture has to offer, and instead may we choose to feast on your living word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
