Respite For the Weary
"And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."
Jeremiah 24: 7
Dear God of Grace,
I pray that you will give my children a heart to KNOW You. May they hear and receive Your loving words of devotion: "they will be My people and I will be their God." When they wander from Your presence, please chase them down with Your love, I pray; and cause them to return to You with a whole heart.
If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:11-12
Dear Lord,
What a comfort to know that in the darkest of dark, your light still shines. My unpredictable emotions are accompanied by your anchoring truths; and my unknown paths are partnered with your guiding lamp. Please Lord, help me walk in step with you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
