Respite For the Weary
"And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."
Jeremiah 24: 7
Dear God of Grace,
I pray that you will give my children a heart to KNOW You. May they hear and receive Your loving words of devotion: "they will be My people and I will be their God." When they wander from Your presence, please chase them down with Your love, I pray; and cause them to return to You with a whole heart.
Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21
Dear Lord,
We ask you to kindly convict us in whatever way we need. Give us the humble desire to rid ourselves of any emotion or action that is contrary to you; and then, help us to replace these things with your life-giving, soul-thriving word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
