Respite For the Weary
"And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."
Jeremiah 24: 7
Dear God of Grace,
I pray that you will give my children a heart to KNOW You. May they hear and receive Your loving words of devotion: "they will be My people and I will be their God." When they wander from Your presence, please chase them down with Your love, I pray; and cause them to return to You with a whole heart.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2
Dear Lord,
Culture gets it backwards, telling us to do what we want, when we want, however we want! Help us to remember that within your truth there is freedom beyond what this world can experience. Yes, it is for freedom that Christ set us free (Gal. 5:1)! Amen.
