Respite For the Weary
"And I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."
Jeremiah 24: 7
Dear God of Grace,
I pray that you will give my children a heart to KNOW You. May they hear and receive Your loving words of devotion: "they will be My people and I will be their God." When they wander from Your presence, please chase them down with Your love, I pray; and cause them to return to You with a whole heart.
"Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any." Isaiah 44:8b
Dear Lord,
You are the One and Only, the Rock of Ages. Your absolute truth is our saving grace. Remind us of these things when little gods begin to creep in and attempt to steal our loyalty. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
