Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not. Haggai 2:5b
Dear Lord,
You are in the midst of us; we are surrounded by your love! And because of your Spirit, you are in the midst of our hearts as well. Cause your abiding Spirit to grant us both inner peace and outer protection. Because of you, we will not fear. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
