Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.

O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1: 4-5
Dear Lord,
You and only you give true life! Enter in and shine your light through us so that we can be hope in chaos, truth in trials, and comfort in grief. Ignite us with your glory. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
