Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
And some (seeds) fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundred fold. Luke 8:8
Dear Lord,
May our hearts be like fertile soil. When the seed of your living words falls into us, cause it to take root and bear fruit for your kingdom. For there is no greater purpose in this world! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
