Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.

O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.

Dear Lord,
As we wrestle in prayer with you, please give us exactly what we need to thrive on this earth! Bless us with: a mind to know you, a heart to believe in you, eyes to see you at work in our lives, feet to follow you, and hands to serve you. Please hold us, help us, protect us, and guide us. We ask these things in Jesus' Name, who is both Mighty and Merciful, Amen.
