Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
And the Lord said to Moses, "This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name." Exodus 33:17
Dear Lord,
Remind us that you know us each by name, for you have made us! Creator and Friend, cause our hearts to seek you so that we recognize your faithful blessings each and every day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
