Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgression; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! Psalm 25:6-7
Dear Lord,
Remember your mercy and your steadfast love! Please pour it out on us as we confess our sins to you. When we bring them to the cross, you promise to remember our transgressions no more. Thank you Jesus for this incredible gift. In Your Name, Amen.
