Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
And God said... "I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth..." Genesis 9:13
Dear Lord,
You created the rainbow! When we look at it, help us to realize that these streaming colors of your glory mean something to you. May we marvel at the visible sign of your covenant love towards us. Help us to daily walk in your holy love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
