Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. Exodus 28:2
Dear Lord,
May we live for your glory and your beauty in everything we think, say, and do. You give us your glory to reflect your Name, not our own. And you bless us each with something unique to make your world more beautiful. So help us to stay the course ... for glory and for beauty...In Jesus' Name, Amen.
