Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. John 14:13
Dear Lord Jesus,
It's thrilling to know that you want to be with us, both now on earth through your Spirit, and then in heaven forever. Thank you for your meticulous preparation of our future home--a place of unimaginable, uncontainable, unmatched glory. In your Name, Amen.
