Respite For the Weary
O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and your foundations I will lay in sapphires. Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, and your gates of crystal, and your entire wall of precious stones. And your sons will be taught of the Lord; and the well-being of your sons will be great.
Isaiah 54: 11-13
O God of Peace,
Please come in and steady the hearts of my children when they are weary, confused, sad, or lonely. Rebuild their faith in You, I pray. Make them beautifully strong once again, causing them to shine Your radiance into this dark world. Help them to remember nothing is impossible with You, O God.
It seemed good to me to declare the signs and wonders which the Most High God has done for me. Daniel 4:2
Dear Lord,
Please open our eyes so we can recognize your mighty wonders, both small and great! You give life and breath, both physically and spiritually. You provide, you forgive, and you bless. Make us bold in our praise to you as we marvel at your goodness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
