Respite For the Weary
For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
II Chronicles 16: 9
Dear Strong God,
Make my children's hearts completely Yours, I pray. And when walking with You, help them to remember that You are by their side, strongly supporting every step.
Then Abram said to Lot, "Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsman, for we are kinsmen. Is not the whole land before you? If you take the left hand, then I will go to the right, or if you take the right hand, then I will go to the left." And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw that the Jordan Valley was well watered everywhere like the garden of the Lord...So Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley... (Genesis 13:8-11).
Dear Lord,
Convict us when our hearts are self-focused, trying to gather the best and the most. Make us aware that when we walk in your ways, we already have your rich blessing, which is the best of the best in every way! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
