A Passage and A Prayer... Eph 4:1-6

By Chris Baxter

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

Eph 4:1-6

Dear Holy Father,
I pray that my children would embrace their high calling of being Your child. Give them a heart's desire to follow you, step by step. Fill them with humility, gentleness, patience, and love for each other. May they be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. O God, You are the One true God who reigns on high and in our hearts. I ask that Your Spirit would work mightily through each of my children according to the different gifts that you have given them.

Daily Prayer

He died to give us this...

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds we are healed. - 1 Peter 2:24

Dear Lord Jesus,

The exchange of our sin for your righteousness is the indescribable gift (2 Cor. 9:15)! How can we thank you? Today may we, through your Spirit, humbly walk in the righteousness you died to give us. In your Name, Amen.
