Respite For the Weary
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
I Peter 5:10
Dear God of Grace,
(I ask that) WHEN the inevitable trials of suffering and loss are experienced by each of my children in their lifetime, THEY WOULD CLING TO YOU. Through their various struggles, make them STRONGER in their faith on this earth, while keeping ETERNITY in their heart and mind.
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. Exodus 15:25
Dear Lord,
Your words are sweet to the soul in even the most bitter of circumstances. Cause us to drink them in and savor them. May your timely truths revive us so can we move forward, trusting you. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
