Respite For the Weary
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
I Peter 5:10
Dear God of Grace,
(I ask that) WHEN the inevitable trials of suffering and loss are experienced by each of my children in their lifetime, THEY WOULD CLING TO YOU. Through their various struggles, make them STRONGER in their faith on this earth, while keeping ETERNITY in their heart and mind.
In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrong-doing. Job 1:22
Dear Lord,
We ask for hearts like Job, who trusted you no matter the circumstance. In loss, in struggle, in hardship, and in pain, strengthen our faith in you. Help us to believe, you will carry us through it all. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
