Respite For the Weary
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
I Peter 5:10
Dear God of Grace,
(I ask that) WHEN the inevitable trials of suffering and loss are experienced by each of my children in their lifetime, THEY WOULD CLING TO YOU. Through their various struggles, make them STRONGER in their faith on this earth, while keeping ETERNITY in their heart and mind.
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?" Genesis 3:8-9
Dear Lord,
From the beginning, you seek to have a walking-talking relationship with us. Help us not to hide from you in fear or shame; rather, cause us to come to you, repent of our wrong-doing, and be reconciled with you, all because of your steadfast love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
