A Passage and A Prayer... 1 Corinthians 15:58

By Chris Baxter

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

I Corinthians 15: 58

Dear Lord of Might,
Continue to press into the hearts of my children. Give them a driving desire to do Your will with JOY. Help them always remember that their work for You, no matter how "menial" the task may seem, is never done in vain. Encourage them, dear Lord, when they begin to lose heart.

Where did Scripture come from?

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1: 20-21

Dear Lord,

We believe your word was written by flawed men, but inspired by your perfect Spirit. Every word is God-breathed and truth-filled. Keep us growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ so that we can easily recognize any one who is teaching a different gospel. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
