I have inherited Thy testimonies forever, for they are the joy of my heart.
Psalm 119:111
Dear Wise Counselor,
May Your sweet and satisfying Word become the joy of my children's heart.
What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the rooftops.
Matthew 10: 27
Intimate One,
You are with us ALWAYS. Continue to speak Your loving words to the heart of my children, so they may, then, proclaim Your goodness to the world.
For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. for the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Galatians 5: 13-14
Dear Master,
Help my children to know that freedom is found in You alone. Fill their hearts with Your love, and give them the desire to portray this love to others by serving them. Open their eyes to the needs of those around them.
And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
I Peter 5:10
Dear God of Grace,
(I ask that) WHEN the inevitable trials of suffering and loss are experienced by each of my children in their lifetime, THEY WOULD CLING TO YOU. Through their various struggles, make them STRONGER in their faith on this earth, while keeping ETERNITY in their heart and mind.
And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5: 24
Dear Lord of Life,
Thank You that my children's hearts belong to You. Help them each to daily bring their passions and desires to You so they can be put to death at the cross. I pray You will then replace their weak flesh with Your strong Spirit.
Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today…
Ruth 4: 14
O Lamb of God,
Thank You for taking away the sins of the world. Help my children to know that every sin, every situation, and every circumstance is beautifully redeemable when washed in Your blood of forgiveness.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. Genesis 1:31
Dear Lord,
Thank you that we can get a visual of what "goodness" looks like in its purest sense when we look at the things you've created. May we marvel at the blue sky, the green hills, the purple mountains, the orange sunsets, the golden fields, the white beaches, the indigo oceans; and then, may we pause to revere you as the Creator of all the goodness that surrounds us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
