A Passage and A Prayer... Jeremiah 9:23-24

Thus says the Lord,
"Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not the rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things, " declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 9: 23-24

Dear Exercising God,
The cry of Your heart is for Your children to understand and know You! Continue to show my children who You are: a God who delights in lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness. May this become what they boast about, nothing else.

A Passage and A Prayer... I John 4:10,19

In this love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins… we love, because He first loved us.

I John 4: 10,19

Dear Love Itself,
I pray that my children would always remember that You are the One who is passionately pursuing their souls. You left heaven's throne to win them with Your love. Continue to catch them, and embrace them, and fill them, so they can then turn around and pour Your love into another.

A Passage and A Prayer... II Peter 1:5-9

For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance, godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

II Peter 1: 5-9

Dear Lord Jesus,
I praise You and thank You for the faith that each of my children possess in their heart. For faith in You is the foundation in which they can build upon. Give them a desire to build, I pray. Cause them to make every effort to add to their faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, godliness, perseverance, brotherly kindness, and love. Yes, Lord make them effective and productive as they grow in their knowledge of You.

A Passage and A Prayer... Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

Psalm 32: 8

Dear Great Teacher,
I pray my children will HEAR Your instruction, LISTEN to Your counsel, and then OBEY the direction in which You tell them to go. May they walk by faith, not by sight.

A Passage and A Prayer... Eph 4:1-6

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

Eph 4:1-6

Dear Holy Father,
I pray that my children would embrace their high calling of being Your child. Give them a heart's desire to follow you, step by step. Fill them with humility, gentleness, patience, and love for each other. May they be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. O God, You are the One true God who reigns on high and in our hearts. I ask that Your Spirit would work mightily through each of my children according to the different gifts that you have given them.

A Passage and A Prayer... Isiah 54:9-10

"For this is like the days of Noah to me; when I swore that the waters of Noah should not flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor will I rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken," says the Lord who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:9-10

Eternal One,
You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as You
were with Noah, you are with us. Cause my children to hear and receive the unshakeable promise of Your everlasting love. Give them an understanding of this love, so they can give it to others. May Your compassion flow through them, to those who also need to hear and receive Your promise.

Daily Prayer

How not to be deceived

Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them. Deuteronomy 11:16

Dear Lord,

Cause us to hide your word in our hearts so that we may quickly recognize deception. And then Lord, please give us a strong desire to abide in your truth, no matter the temptation that is set before us. In Jesus' Name, Amen
