Write any phrases from the selected Bible verses that speak to you:

Close your eyes and visualize someone pouring clean water into a crystal vase. This picture represents the miraculous gift of the Holy Spirit (as well as God’s word) being poured into our hearts. His Word and Spirit create beauty within us, which creates newness of life every day.

Can you give an example of a specific circumstance in which you know you felt God’s Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control pour into you? Explain.

Is there a time in which God’s word spoke directly to your heart in a certain situation? Explain.

Daily Prayer

When did you "see the Light"?

(Paul defends himself to King Agrippa), "About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?'  "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting."  Acts 26:13-15

Dear Lord,

We all have a story to tell. Help us to remember a time when we "saw the Light", whether it was our first encounter with you or a maturing time in our walk with you. Formulate our testimony within us, and then give us the boldness to share your saving grace with others. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
